The Rotary Club of Toms River and its Charitable Foundation supports many diverse non-profit organizations as well as groups in need during the Rotary year running from July to June. Checks are traditionally distributed at our annual Charitable Giving Night sometime in July.
 
LOCAL FUNDING / DONATION REQUEST GUIDELINES
 
All Requests Must:
  • Benefit the Community
  • Be for specific needs, programs, equipment, services, etc.
  • Include financial statements if the requested amount is above $500.00
  • Include other documentation listed on the bottom of the Funding Request Form 
Funding / Donation Constraints:
  • Funds are not generally awarded to individuals.
  • Funds are not generally awarded for normal operating expenses.
  • Funds are not generally awarded to "for profit" businesses.
Rotary Funding / Donation Priorities:
  • Promote peace and goodwill
  • Fight disease, homelessness, hunger and drugs
  • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Help mothers and children
  • Support education and youth programs
  • Assist communities and grow local economies

  • Non-Profit IRS Letter of Determination for 501(c)(3) status
  • Tax Exempt Organization IRS Form 990 (pg 1-9)
  • Annual Report or list of board members and key leadership
  • Most recent financial report (operating statement & balance sheet) if request exceeds $500
You also should be prepared to make a brief presentation at our board meeting.  You will be notified if a presentation is requested, and which upcoming meeting you should attend.

The Annual Deadline for all funding / donation requests is May 31st.  
Our board reviews all submissions once a year in June, and will notify each organization of the results by July. Notification may
be longer when partial funding is also being requested by Rotary International or our NJ Rotary District.
We regret that we are not able to fund all requests, nor can we provide multi-year, unlimited, or large amounts of financial support.
 
Emergency, critical or crisis funding requests are reviewed during the year as community needs arise; ie (natural disasters, Covid, etc).  Please contact us directly for further information.
