Apply for Funding or Donation Support
Rotary of Toms River and its Charitable Foundation supports many diverse non-profit organizations as well as groups in need during the Rotary year running from July to June. Checks are traditionally distributed in July.
All Requests Must:
  • Benefit the Community
  • Be for specific needs, programs, equipment, services, etc.
  • Include other documentation listed on the bottom of the Funding Request Form 
Funding / Donation Constraints:
  • Funds are not provided to individuals.
  • Funds are not provided for normal operating expenses.
  • Funds are not provided to "for profit" businesses.
Rotary Funding / Donation Priority Areas:
  • Promoting peace and goodwill
  • Fighting disease, homelessness, hunger and drugs
  • Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Helping mothers and children
  • Supporting education and youth programs
  • Assisting communities and grow local economies
  • Protecting the environment
  • Disaster response

  • Non-Profit IRS Letter of Determination for 501(c)(3) status
  • Tax Exempt Organization IRS Form 990 (pg 1-9)
  • Annual Report or list of board members and key leadership
  • Most recent financial report (operating statement & balance sheet) if request exceeds $2500
You also should be prepared to make a brief presentation at our board meeting if your request exceeds $2500.  You will be notified if a presentation is requested, and when to attend.

The Annual Deadline for all funding / donation requests is May 31st.  
Our board reviews all submissions once a year in June, and will notify each organization of the results by July. Notification may
be longer when partial funding is also being requested by Rotary International or our NJ Rotary District.
We regret that we are not able to fund all requests, nor can we provide multi-year, unlimited, or large amounts of financial support.
Emergency, critical or crisis funding requests are reviewed during the year as community needs arise; ie (natural disasters, Covid, etc).  Please contact us directly for further information.
