To keep everyone safe, The Rotary Club of Toms River's Sailfest 2020 event will be charting new waters with an all-online event. Watch for exciting news soon!
After careful consultation with public officials regarding guidelines from both the CDC and the State of New Jersey, the Rotary Club of Toms River Board has decided to ‘chart new waters’ and make Sailfest an all-online, New Jersey-wide event for 2020, dubbed "Sailfest NJ".

This will enable us to continue the tremendous ‘wind-in-our-sails’ growth, success and community love of Sailfest for the past 29 years.   The new all-online format for this year will include all the music, art and other nautical things which Sailfest fans have grown to love.  We plan to release information soon, so get ready to ‘hoist your sails’, keep following our Sailfest Facebook Page and consider helping us out if you can. We will also have some exciting new vendor and sponsorship opportunities available.

Sailfest has become the Rotary Club of Toms River’s largest fundraiser to support local charities and make a difference in our wonderful community, so we did not make this decision lightly. Our Governor’s recent lockdown extension unfortunately make it impossible to continue planning Sailfest in its’ current format since the event is scheduled just a few months from now – and we anticipate further event restrictions will continue until a vaccine is available.  We couldn’t let this event potentially impact the health of all who attend.  Both the Mayor and Borough Council of Island Heights have said we are making a good decision and look forward to seeing us sail back again in 2021.

To our wonderful Sailfest vendors: Those of you who have already submitted your applications and checks for this year, full refunds will begin to be sent out in the next few days.  Current vendors will be given the first opportunity to be vendors for the online event also.
